John holds a Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from Columbia University and a M.E. in Thermal Engineering from Zhejiang University. John is the lifetime executive director of the International Ion implantation Technology Association, and recognized within the industry as a leader with technical creativity specializing in world-class ion implantation equipment. John is the author or co-author of 15 papers and has been granted 16 U.S. patents.
